Close on 120 Bible school students out in missions teams

The students at Word of Life Bible Centre have just left Sweden to participate in the annual missions trip – an opportunity to practise in real life all the teaching they’ve received during the year. There are 19 teams in total – approximately 120 students – who have now travelled to 14 different countries, such as Mongolia, Estonia, Greece, the Czech Republic and India.

We got to have a brief chat with Josefina from Strömstad a couple of days before her departure for Moscow in Russia. A three weeks long missions adventure is awaiting her and her five team-mates.
“I’ve never been on a team or missions trip before, so I’m very excited about it. My expectations are sky-high”, she says with a laugh.
“It’s going to be so great to do what we’ve learnt at Bible school ‘in real life’. I believe God will do amazing things, and it’s going to be fun to get to know new people.”

The team will spend most of their time at Word of Life in Moscow, helping with practical activities e.g. visiting house-groups, taking part in the youth work, witnessing to students, handing out food to the homeless and visiting children’s homes.
“I hope the trip gives me a taste for more and effects me in such a way that I’ll want to go again. I think it’ll give me a better understanding of how important it is to serve others, and I hope God will lay people on my heart even more.”
“Of course it’s a bit scary to think of doing things I’ve never done before, preaching in front of a whole lot of people for example. But I’m not exactly worried about it, because together with the Holy Spirit things usually turn out alright!”
