Word of Life Israel
The main purposes of our presence in Jerusalem are:
• To be a study center – We wish to equip and educate Christians from all over the world with teachers and professors from America, Europe, Israel and other places.
• To be a solidarity center – We wish to support Israel in any way possible, especially by arranging educational tours to Israel for Christians from all over the world.
• To be an information center – We wish to spread correct information about Israel to the international Christian community.

The Bible tells us that whoever blesses Israel will be blessed. To stand up for Israel in preaching and teaching, in debates and articles, in prayer and through practical help, is right and very good. But to go to Israel is probably the most efficient way to show your support for the land and the people.

Since 1987 Pastor Ulf and Birgitta Ekman and Word of Life Sweden have arranged close to 50 group tours to Israel with almost 10,000 travellers. The motto for the Israel work of Word of Life is, “Bring Israel to Christians and Christians to Israel.”

We also want to help
bring back the people of Israel to their land. Operation Jabotinsky was founded in 1993, and more than 12,500 Jews have been assisted in immigrating to Israel, some by ship and some by plane. Today we have 11 regional offices located in various cities in the former Soviet Union, and many local offices, which continually aid Russian Jews with information and means regarding migration.

Word of Life has now launched Israel Report, which is an email newsletter with news from Israel. Our goal with this newsletter is that it shall be a counterweight to the general mass media. We want to report the news which are often either totally ignored or distorted by other channels. Our purpose is to present a more complete picture of the events in the Middle East, so that we in this way can give the public better opportunities to make true judgments about the situation in the Middle East.
